Boldly Stand with Jesus

"Boldly Stand with Jesus"

Lyrics

Verse 1
In the back, pushed behind, never mind
You are seen, you are heard, you are loved
Don’t fit in, with the norm, can’t conform
There is peace, there is light, there is hope

Chorus
Yes! We boldly stand with Jesus
In loving all humanity
May our passion and devotion
Point to Christ and our unity

Verse 2
Beaten down, ridiculed, overruled
You are seen, you are heard, you are loved
Been harassed, hatred near, full of fear
There is peace, there is light, there is hope

Chorus

Verse 3
Been despised, and oppressed, in distress
You are seen, you are heard, you are loved
Coming out, rights denied, shoved aside
There is peace, there is light, there is hope

Ending
Yes! We boldly stand with Jesus
In loving all humantiy
May our passion and devotion
Point to Christ and our unity
Point to Christ and our unity

About this hymn: This hymn was written to encourage those in the LGBTQIA+ community.  Our brothers and sisters in Christ that are in the queer community have often experienced hatred, discrimination, judgment, and oppression.  And sadly, many of these feelings have come straight from Christians and churches.  I wrote this hymn to show those in the queer community that they are not forgotten.  They are seen, they are heard, they are loved!  I also wrote this hymn to give the church body an opportunity to stand together in unity as followers of Christ.  There is peace, light, and hope when we come together and boldly stand with Jesus in loving all humanity. Our passion and devotion must always point to Christ and our unity as followers of Christ.  When this happens, we can love as Christ loved, no exclusions allowed.

"Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
